In addition to being a costume designer, Sarah is an artist, writer, editor, and fairy godmother extraordinaire. She is a two-time Gregory Award nominee and received her MFA in Costume Design from Temple University. Other regional credits include working at Southern Appalachian Reper tory Theatre, StageWest Theatre, and Venture Theatre Company. Before moving to Seattle, she taught Costume Design at Mars Hill University in North Carolina. Prior to that, she worked at Taproot Theatre Company as their Resident Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager. Other than the pandemic induced sabbatical, she has been the Costume Shop Head here at SCT since 2017. Now moving his focus to stage direction, he has already made his directing television debut with WGN’s hit series Manhattan, and recently brought Puccini’s Suor Angelicato the University of Arizona Opera Theatre, which the opera appreciation organization “Living at the Opera” praised for its “… remarkable directorial touches.” In 2015 alone he directed five different productions ranging from the classics of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio and Puccini’s La Boheme, to Sister Carrie with Janiec Opera Company, and The Tenderland at Opera North.
